Ohio State center Austin Parks announces plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Ohio State center Austin Parks plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced Tuesday evening via X. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Parks spent the past two seasons with the Buckeyes and appeared in 24 games during that span. That included 15 during the 2024-25 season as he averaged 1.3 points and 0.9 rebounds across 8.4 minutes per game.
“I’d like to thank Ohio State, coach Diebler and every assistant, teammate and fan of the scarlet and gray for allowing me to be a part of this prestigious program over the last two years,” Parks wrote. “I’ve been taught so many life lessons, formed life-long friendships and am forever thankful for my time in Columbus. I am choosing to enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining, and am looking forward to finding my last stop to call home.”
Parks played high school basketball at St. Mary’s Memorial (OH), where he was a three-star recruit. He ranked as the No. 181 overall player and No. 25 center in the 2023 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
