The Ohio State Buckeyes are dominating their rivals from Michigan State with a staggering 49-0 edge at halftime, and a NFL rookie quarterback who was a star in Columbus didn’t waste time chiming in.

Chicago Bears starting signal caller Justin Fields is loving every minute of it.

Even though Mel Tucker has Michigan State No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings, just two spots behind Ohio State at No. 5, the Buckeyes entered the Big Ten showdown as a three-score favorite.

While it’s still early, it appears the oddsmakers were right.

With just seconds before a much-needed halftime break for Michigan State, the Buckeyes hold a 49-0 edge. That score is not a typo. Ohio State has dominated in ebvery facet of the game.

Fields is clearly proud of the young Buckeyes’ quarterback CJ Stroud, who has just two incompletions on 31 passing attempts for 393 yards and six touchdowns. In the first half.

Ohio State has already racked up 500 yards of offense, and barring a miracle, Fields will be joining Buckeye nation as it appears the Buckeyes are poised to make a major statement for the College Football Playoff committee to consider.
