The Ohio State Buckeyes remain undefeated and in contention for the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes will look to keep their record unblemished next weekend as they face off against the Michigan State Spartans. The early point spread indicates Vegas thinks it will be a blowout.

Ohio State has already opened up as a 27.5 point favorite, according to the early point spread released by FanDuel on Saturday night.

Ohio State managed to handle Rutgers on Saturday night, 35-16, but the win did not come easy. The Buckeyes were trailing 9-7 at halftime, before outscoring the Scarlet Knights 28-7 in the second half.

OSU cornerback Jordan Hancock had a 93-yard interception return for touchdown in the second half to help give the Buckeyes a much-needed jolt. Quarterback Kyle McCord also connected with Marvin Harrison, Jr. for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Harrison is one of the best wide receiver prospects to come along in a long time for a good reason–nobody can figure out how to stop him.

He finished Saturday evening with 25 yards receiving on four catches, but two critical touchdowns.

Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson continues to show that when healthy, he’s among the nation’s best at his position. He was one of the more highly regarded prospects in the nation coming out of high school and he’s continued to show why. Against Rutgers, he finished with over 200 all-purpose yards and one touchdown. He did plenty of work as a receiver, hauling in five catches for 80 yards, including a 65-yard catch.

Ohio State also welcomed back the services of wide receiver Emeka Egbuka. He hauled in four catches for 29 receiving yards.

The Michigan State Spartans have struggled mightily this season with a record of 3-6 overall. On Saturday, they had a 20-17 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Michigan State won their first two games but lost six straight, before finally snapping their losing streak on Saturday. MSU wide receiver Montorie Foster, Jr. had a great performance, hauling in four catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.

The Spartans’ defense also forced two interceptions from Cornhuskers’ quarterback Heinrich Haarberg.

In Week 8, Michigan State was whipped by their in-state rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, to the tune of a 49-0 shutout. Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy carved up the Spartan defense, completing 21 of 27 passes for 287 yards, while tossing in four touchdowns with no interceptions.
