For his career, Garza-Gongora is a .275 hitter and a steady fielder, posting a 97.6% fielding rate in his two college seasons.
But as the Sooners are losing players to the portal, they are also reportedly landing them.
Former LSU left-handed pitcher Cam Johnson committed to Oklahoma, via the NCAA Transfer Portal, per D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers. Johnson only spent one season with the Tigers.
In his lone year at LSU, Johnson appeared in 13 games, recording nine innings pitched. During his limited time on the mound, Johnson threw 13 strikeouts and 16 walks while recording 12.0 ERA.
