Former Oklahoma wide receiver Gavin Freeman has committed to Oklahoma State out the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on Sunday.

Freeman spent two seasons with the Sooners and was able to prove his worth in 2023. He logged 19 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown, putting in a lot of work close to the line of scrimmage at Oklahoma. In two years he has totaled 22 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown.

The Oklahoma City, OK native missed the 2024 spring slate due to injury.

The Sooners have also used his abilities in a variety of ways during his time in Norman. He tallied 12 carries out of the backfield for 93 yards and a touchdown. He also returned punts, including running one back for a score in 2023. However, Freeman also struggled in the back half of the season having muffed a couple of punts and averaging only 6.8 yards per return for the season.

Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma, Gavin Freeman was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 1,663 overall recruit in the nation in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings,  a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He also checked in as the No. 145 cornerback in the class and the No. 27 overall player from the state of Oklahoma, hailing from Oklahoma City (OK) Heritage Hall.

Interstingly, Freeman was a team captain for the Sooners during last year’s home game against his new team, Oklahoma State. Head coach Brent Venables picked five native Oklahomans to captain that game, and Freeman was a part of that exclusive group.

Oklahoma State DB Jordan Reagan enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Oklahoma State Cowboys defensive back Jordan Reagan has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Reagan played high school football at Bixby (OK), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 829 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Over the course of his time with the Cowboys, Reagan has amassed three total tackles. He’ll be looking for a larger slice of the pie wherever he commits for the 2024 campaign, it seems.
