5-star OT Jordan Seaton meets Nike Founder Phil Knight on Oregon visit

Ahead of his visit to Oregon last weekend, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton said the Ducks told him that “the red carpet will be laid out.”
Seaton has since raved about his visit to Eugene — which he labeled “game-changing” to On3’s Chad Simmons. On Monday night, the elite lineman took to social media to show that he rubbed shoulders with Nike founder Phil Knight:
Perhaps no brand and college program are more synonymous with one-another than Nike and Oregon football. The Ducks defeated Washington State on Saturday and in-turn made a big impression on Seaton.
“It was definitely a game-changing visit. This visit had a huge impact on my recruitment,” Seaton told Simmons. “Overall, the visit was very informative and gave me the confidence to make an informed decision about my college choice.”
Oregon is one of many programs in the running for Seaton’s pledge. He has also visited Alabama, Colorado, Florida and Tennessee this fall, while the likes of South Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida State are among others interested.

“For me, it is about relationships and development,” Seaton told Simmons last month. “I will rely on those a lot when it comes time to pick the best school. NIL will play a small part too, and player compensation is something I am looking at, but it is not what I will base my decision on. I need to have that relationship with the coach and the staff and feel good about the environment. That is what is most important.”
Jordan Seaton Recruiting Profile
Seaton is the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle recruit and the No. 4 player in the Sunshine State.
He was one of the country’s biggest rankings risers over the past few months, ascending to No. 7 in the most recent On300 rankings. On3’s Scouting and Rankings Director Charles Power wrote this about what has made him such a dominant force this fall:
“Offensive tackle Jordan Seaton (No. 7) was an easy call to earn his fifth-star after turning in a very strong start. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder transferred from Washington (D.C.) St. John’s to IMG Academy for his senior season and has shown to be the most technically advanced offensive tackle in the cycle to this point. Seaton’s high level of skill is readily apparent both on film and in person. He plays with advanced awareness and coordination. The inherent feel for leverage combines with strong hands that stymie pass rushers on contact. He plays with control and balance. We also like Seaton’s physicality and nasty on-field demeanor. We view the new five-star as a high-floor prospect with the ability to get on the field early in his college career.”
