Dan Lanning points out his biggest questions remaining as Oregon exits spring

Spring practice is coming to an end for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. Now in his second season at Oregon, Lanning is looking to take the next step forward with the Ducks and compete for a New Year’s Six Bowl in 2023.
Still, as Lanning would point out, there is a long way to go and Oregon still has issues it needs to figure out before the regular season kicks off.
“Well, do we really truly have the depth to play as many players as we’d like to play?” Dan Lanning said.
“Gonna go back and continue to evaluate that. How do things sort out, really, on the offensive line for us? I think we have to take a hard look at that and figure out where we’re the best there. There’s just a lot of pieces. Lot of pieces of the puzzle.”
Even though Oregon has a long way to go, the Ducks have grown too. As Dan Lanning explained, the team has gotten better physically.

“Yeah, I think we’re faster. I think we’re bigger. I think we’re stronger,” Lanning said. “And I think that’s, you know, really a credit to our weight room staff, you know, really that whole group in there. I mean, we just got a bunch of guys that have done a great job with the offseason training. And then we do a good job of monitoring it too and making sure we continue to hit high speeds.”
Dan Lanning on the team’s improvement
Dan Lanning recently explained that a lot of players on Oregon’s roster have shown dramatic improvement.
“I’ve seen a lot of guys make dramatic improvements. You talking about intrinsic motivation, you have to be motivated yourself. I think you’re starting to see that show up with some of these guys. The guys that have really taken advantage of it, they’re taking big strides and they’re going to put themselves in position to make an impact for our team,” Lanning said.
