Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq already took a step last season from being a freshman to a sophomore. Now, with the opportunities he’ll have on offense this fall in the Ducks’ offense, his breakout is expected as a junior in Eugene.

David Pollack named his players to watch this upcoming season in the Big Ten recently on ‘See Ball, Get Ball’. He and Brent Rollins, his co-host, were in agreement with it being Sadiq, based on his athleticism and the reps he’s likely to see this year at tight end, for the Ducks.

“I got Sadiq too. And, if you look at Sadiq, here’s the thing. Insane jets. Like, a guy that’s going to hit 23 miles an hour on the GPS. Like, that kind of speed at the tight end spot,” said Pollack. “(Terrance) Ferguson was a really good player and a big part of the Oregon offense. He’s gone. Like, those reps have to go somewhere. Evan Stewart just gets banged up. Like, that’s an important part.”

“I’ve already mentioned this name when we did our fantasy draft. Fantasy tight end – Kenyon Sadiq. That’s my Oregon guy,” said Rollins too. “The dude is a freak athlete. Like, he is a crazy, 6’3, 250, runs like crazy. Just an insanely good athlete. Give it to him on jet sweeps. That’s my guy.”

Sadiq, during his two seasons as an underclassman, has posted 29 receptions for 332 yards and three touchdowns. Most of that came with his improvement as a sophomore with 24 catches for 308 yards and two touchdowns, which had him fourth on the offense in scores, fifth in yardage, and seventh in receptions.

In his third year in college, Sadiq is now projecting to be one of the best tight ends in college football in 2025. That’s with the tight end spot there for him with Ferguson being a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as well as receptions left due to the season-ending injury to Stewart. Those at CBS Sports along with those at The Athletic don’t just have him highly-rated for this upcoming year but also for the class in the 2026 NFL Draft. Phil Steele also recently predicted to finish as Second Team All-Big Ten while On3’s J.D. PicKell is “as high on him as any skill player in college football” while comparing him this offseason to the usage of Georgia’s Brock Bowers.

Sadiq is trendy as the player to watch this upcoming season for Oregon. Still, if he has the campaign that many in the sport are expecting, it’s for good reason.

“I think Sadiq is going to be a guy that takes over and goes absolutely bananas this year,” said Pollack.
