It’s been an interesting two weeks for the Oregon Ducks mascot. One week after losing his head in the season opener, the mascot latched on to a popular social media trend with his look for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State.

Video emerged on social media of the Duck dressed as a Labubu doll. It had sharp teeth and bunny ears and got a huge reaction from the crowd upon making its appearance.

Perhaps the Labubu Duck was a good sign for Oregon, which would go on to a 69-3 victory. The Ducks scored two touchdowns within the first two minutes and never looked back, already leading 41-3 at halftime.

The win was a big statement for Oregon, which is coming off of a Big Ten Championship but bounce in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff last season. They certainly showed Saturday they have the talent to get back there this year and will look to keep rolling.

Autzen Stadium, Oregon trolls Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State with hilarious song choice after blowout win

Oregon added insult to injury after a dominant 69-3 win against Oklahoma State on Saturday. There was a lot of tension heading into the matchup after Cowboys coach Mike Gundy made comments this week about the Ducks’ NIL funds.

So following the massive blowout at Autzen Stadium, the person in charge of the music decided to have a little fun with their song choice. “Moneytalks” by AC/DC could be heard playing as the teams exited the field.

Prior to the game, Gundy made headlines when he claimed that Oregon would have to pay “a lot of money” to keep quarterback Dante Moore on their roster beyond this season. He also took aim at the Ducks for the amount they spent on their roster and suggested they should schedule tougher opponents.

“I think Oregon spent close to $40 (million) last year alone,” Gundy said. “So, that was just one year. Now, I might be off a few million. …Oregon is paying a lot, a lot of money for their team. From a nonconference standpoint there’s coaches saying they should (play teams with similar budgets).”

Of course, that all came back to bite him after Saturday’s results. Moore torched the Cowboys defense to go 16-of-21 passing for 266 yards and tied his career high with three touchdowns.
