Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins received an offer from Oregon on Friday. He announced the news on social media.

Collins is the No. 283 overall prospect and No. 26 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Arkansas.

On3 rates Collins higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 235 overall prospect, No. 23 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Arkansas.

The 6-foot-4, 257 pound prospect has received 13 offers. He has already taken unofficial visits this season to Arkansas and Ole Miss.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Rebels lead for his commitment at 43.1%. The Razorbacks have the next-best odds for his pledge at 28.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The only player from Arkansas ranked higher than Collins in the 2024 On300 is Little Rock (Ark.) Little Rock Christian Academy four-star quarterback Walker White. He is the No. 197 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

Oregon’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains no commitments. Meanwhile, the Ducks’ 2023 class ranks No. 11 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12.

Collins has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.4K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
