To say the cleats and pants are bright is an understatement. The coolest part of these uniforms is without a doubt the helmets and gloves. The classic O plus the duck on the gloves is a really nice touch. When the uniform is all together, it looks pretty sharp, the brightness of the pants and the cleats goes well with the numbers, which appears to be a type of highlighter green. The green chrome helmets with the wings on the side are one of the cooler helmets in college football. Oregon has a lot of nice helmets and that’s definitely one of them.

This weekend, Oregon will face off against the Stanford Cardinal, and they’ll be without their top running back, E.J. Smith, who is out for the season due to an undisclosed injury he suffered against Southern California on Sept. 10. In two games, he rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries. Smith is the son of NFL Hall-of-Fame running back Emmitt Smith.

Stanford quarterback Tanner McKee was recently named in Mel Kiper’s top 10 quarterback prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft. McKee has completed 67 percent of his passes for 814 passing yards thus far, while tossing six touchdowns and four interceptions.

Oregon has rebounded quite nicely since getting absolutely steamrolled by the Georgia Bulldogs, 49-3. The Ducks have gone 3-0 since, including defeating a good BYU team 41-20, and a pretty solid Washington State team last weekend 44-41. Senior linebacker D.J. Johnson leads Oregon in sacks with three.

Oregon faces off against Stanford on Oct. 1. Kickoff is slated for 11:00 p.m. EST.
