Walter Nolen, the former defensive lineman at Texas A&M, is the top player on the board when it comes to the transfer portal. Now, with several top teams across the country vying for his services, one has officially earned the first visit from him.

Per Steve Wiltfong at 247, Nolen will be taking his first visit this weekend when he travels to Eugene to meet with Oregon.

Nolen is coming off his sophomore season with the Aggies. In 11 appearances, he posted 37 tackles, four sacks, and a pass deflection. Over his pair of seasons in College Station, that gave him totals of 66 tackles, five sacks, and the pass deflection to go along with one forced fumble.

Nolen played high school football at Powell (TN) where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He obviously finished as the top player in his state as well as the No. 1 DL in the nation.

Now, with him back on the market, he remains as highly-regarded in On3’s Top Transfer Portal Players. He ranks as the best of the best overall as well as being the top available defensive lineman.

This is a player that everyone is going to want to get their hands on after he entered the portal earlier this week. That makes it significant that, of all of the potential suitors, Nolen landed on Oregon to earn his fist visit.
