Oregon State HC Trent Bray calls out special teams vs. Fresno State: 'F-----g joke'

It’s safe to say that Oregon State head coach Trent Bray was NOT happy with his team’s special teams unit in the first half against Fresno State Saturday afternoon.
Near the end of the first half, Oregon State punter AJ Winsor fumbled the snap and got off a bouncing punt, which Fresno State defensive back Jaden Carrillo fielded and returned 42-yards for a touchdown. This gave the Bulldogs a 20-15 lead heading into halftime.
“We’re fine,” Bray said as he headed to the locker room. “We’ve allowed ourselves to create their success, both in special teams (f****** joke) and on big plays on defense. Two long runs for touchdowns that shouldn’t exist. They did nothing to harm us. We’ve got to stop killing ourselves.”
Bray’s halftime speech must have been a good one following his NSFW drop on The CW broadcast, as the Beavers immediately came out of the locker room and reclaimed the lead with a four-yard passing touchdown from quarterback Maalik Murphy to running back Jake Reichle.
Murphy, who transferred from Duke this offseason, completed 21/33 passes for 244 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Oregon State‘s season-opening 34-15 loss to California.

He arrived at Oregon State this fall and quickly emerged as the de facto No. 1 quarterback. The Beavers are coming off a 5-7 season. Oregon State lost quarterbacks Gevani McCoy and Ben Gulbranson to the portal this offseason, with McCoy now at Temple and Gulbranson starting at Stanford.
“He’s way more comfortable with the offense having gone through spring,” Bray previously said about his quarterback. “And really that’s all it is for him. He’s got all the physical ability to get it done. Now it’s just running plays over and over, doing those reads over and over.”
Against the Bulldogs Saturday afternoon, Murphy is 23/34 passing for 229 yards, three touchdowns and one interception heading into the fourth quarter.
