Class of 2025 QB Bekkem Kritza commits to Penn State

Class of 2025 quarterback Bekkem Kritza of Boulder (CO) Fairview High announced his commitment to Penn State Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-5, 190 pounder chose the Nittany Lions over Washington, Texas A&M, and Miami.

“The honesty and professionalism they showed,” Kritza said. “They recruited me as hard as they can, texting me everyday just checking in on me on the field and off the field. That was the biggest thing that set them apart was how much the staff from coach Franklin all the way down.”

His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.

“I’m definitely closest to coach Franklin and coach O’Brien. They think I have the skillset to come in and just compete, if I play right away that’s great and if I have to redshirt that is fine as well. They just want me to come in and compete because they believe if I just do that everything else will take care of itself. I just have to get my body right and get to the right weight that I need to get to, which I think is very possible.”

The Centennial State quarterback joins coach James Frank and the Nittany Lions’ top 12 2025 class. He is accompanied by four-star linebacker DJ McClary, four-star tight end Brady O’Hara, and others.

Kritza ranks as the No. 459 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 33 quarterback and the No. 1 player in Colorado.
