2024 Top-150 PG Daquan Davis commits to Providence
Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy three-star point guard Daquan Davis has committed to Providence, he told On3.
The 6-foot-1 rising senior chose the Friars over a final group of Notre Dame, Maryland, and Mississippi State.
“I chose Providence because of the relationship I have with coach Kim (English) and coach Nate (Tomlinson),” Davis said. “The players and other coaches made it feel like home. Corey Floyd, Jayden Pierre, Rafael Castro, Devin Carter, Bryce Hopkins, and Coach Felton made me feel welcomed along with my guy Matt Palumbo.”

In his own words, what type of player is Providence getting in Davis?
“I’m a player that doesn’t mind doing all the little things for our team to succeed at the highest level. I would describe my game as a scrappy guard that’s going to hit shots and make plays for my teammates.”
He has a message for Friar Town.
“Let’s get a Natty!”
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Davis ranks as the No. 119 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He’s also the nation’s No. 16 point guard and the No. 3 player in Maryland. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3).
