Atlanta (Ga.) South Atlanta three-star running back Keyjuan Brown has decommitted from Purdue, he announced on Thursday.

He had been committed to the Boilermakers since June, but opted to back off his pledge after head coach Brian Brohm left for Louisville.

Brown is the No. 625 overall recruit and No. 46 running back in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the No. 60 player in Georgia.

“First off, I would like to thank Purdue University, Coach Brohm, and Coach Barclay for giving me the opportunity to play football at the next level,” he wrote on Twitter. “However, after recent events and long talks with my family, I have decided to decommit from Purdue University and reopen my recruitment.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Boilermakers have now lost both of their running back commits after three-star Wylie (Texas) East rusher Terrell Washington Jr. announced his decommitment earlier on Thursday.
