4-star RB Daniel Hill announces commitment date, finalists

Meridian (Miss.) four-star running back Daniel Hill is one of the most sought-after ball carriers in the 2024 cycle.
Now, Hill is down to three schools with a commitment date on the horizon after a flip of the calendar.
Hill told Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports that he plans to commit on January 6 during the All-American Bowl on NBC — choosing between Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Hill is the nation’s No. 168 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the cycle’s No. 12 running back and No. 4 recruit from Mississippi.
Hill currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $77,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

How Hill’s finalists stack up
Alabama: “They’ve had a pretty strong history of producing running backs and putting running backs in the NFL,” Hill told BamaOnLine in October. “As a recruit, that’s something that you’ve really got to take in, especially with the position I’m going to college to play.”
South Carolina: “They were just telling me it’s home, you know,” Hill told GamecockCentral after his official visit in June. “They said I’m the missing piece, you know, they need a running back.”
Tennessee: “Our relationship has been really good for some time,” Hill told VolQuest about Tennessee assistant Jerry Mack in September.. “We have been building a great relationship for some time. We have been talking for a long time. Now, pretty much, we are talking every day. So that relationship is good.”
