LOOK: Dawn Staley wears old-school Eagles jersey vs. LSU ahead of Super Bowl 57
Hours before her beloved Philadelphia Eagles battle the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley pulled up to one of the most anticipated women’s basketball games of the season in a vintage jersey.
As her No. 1-ranked and undefeated Gamecocks hosted No. 3-ranked and undefeated LSU, Staley wore a retro white Randall Cunningham jersey on the sidelines.
Staley was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she was National High School Player of the Year at Murrell Dobbins Tech High School. She later coached in the city at Temple from 2000-2008.
Earlier in the week, Staley tweeted about receiving a gift package from Mitchell and Ness featuring many retro apparel. While the jersey was not included in the photo, this may be where she got it from.

Dawn Staley previously wore Eagles jersey of Jalen Hurts during game
This isn’t the first time Dawn Staley has worn an Eagles jersey during a game either. Earlier this year on the day of the NFC Championship Game, Staley wore a Jalen Hurts jersey — against Alabama of all teams.
The Gamecocks won the game, 65-52, although it was one of the team’s closer games this season.
Staley and Hurts have interacted multiple times on Twitter.
After South Carolina won the 2022 national title, Hurts quote-tweeted a celebratory post and said, “Legendary! Congrats Coach!”
During the regular season, Staley tweeted a photo of her in a Hurts jersey with the caption of “Happy @Eagles day!! Let’s get this win tonight!!! Lead us @JalenHurts!!”
