During his first two years in Columbia, South Carolina, Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer has enjoyed unprecedented success. And he hasn’t been afraid to go after some of his detractors on social media, either. On Thursday evening, Beamer clapped back at a Tennessee fan that made a comment that they’d “rather listen to their wife’s fingernails on a chalkboard” than listen to him on the SEC Network’s coverage on Saturday. Beamer came across the comment on Twitter, and he wasn’t afraid to let the Volunteer fan (Jeff Capps) know the Tennessee fan base had been a little silent in his mentions the past few weeks following South Carolina’s 63-38 beatdown of the Vols.

Check out what Beamer said here.

Beamer just won two of the biggest games of South Carolina football history. He’s got every right to remind Tennessee fans about the beatdown he dished out.

It’s been yet another unbelievable season for Shane Beamer. He continues to surpass expectations in every way. Bringing South Carolina their first back-to-back wins over Top 10 opponents is something not even the legendary Steve Spurrier accomplished in Columbia.

And that’s saying a lot, because Spurrier is one of the best coaches college football has ever seen. Beamer has every right to be enjoying his success and joking around on social media. If you win the big-time games, you get to talk all the smack you want. That’s part of what makes college football so great.

Of course, there was a fan that tweeted that Beamer was “better than this” and that he didn’t want the South Carolina head coach turning into Lane Kiffin. Beamer let the fan know that he was joking and to R-E-L-A-X.

The #FindSomeJoy tweet is a throwback to when Beamer trolled Dennis Dodd at the end of last season for his preseason predictions. South Carolina even had some fun with it and made a t-shirt.

Very few people across the country thought the Gamecocks were going to end up in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl last season and Beamer made sure to remind Dodd how he proved him and many others in the national media wrong. Beamer apologized for his comments to Dodd.

The South Carolina program has been a force to be reckoned with since Shane Beamer has taken over. And they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The Gamecocks have reeled in 10-four-star recruits in the class of 2023, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. There’s still plenty of time until National Signing Day, too. Given their recent on-field success, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see them to continue to rise in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

The Gamecocks currently sit at 8-4 overall and will await their bowl destination in a few days.
