South Carolina LHP Jarvis Evans Jr. enters NCAA transfer portal

South Carolina left-handed pitcher Jarvis Evans Jr. entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He’s also played at Georgia in his collegiate career.
This year, Evans made 13 appearances with nine starts for the Gamecocks in 2025 He went 4-2 with 41 strikeouts on the year.
Evans struck out six batters in seven innings, allowing just three hits and a run, in a win over The Citadel and ad seven strikeouts and just one run in five hits in a win over Georgia State. Some other highlights for Evans this year included when he did not allow a run in 5.2 innings in a win over Charleston Southern, earned his first win vs. Gardner-Webb, pitching two innings of relief, going six innings against Tennessee, striking out five batters.
He also allowed just one run in six innings while striking out five in a win over the College of Charleston. Evans opened his South Carolina career at Winthrop, striking out five in 3.1 innings.

South Carolina pitcher Jarvis Evans Jr. enters NCAA transfer portal
Evans wasn’t the only pitcher from South Carolina to enter the portal. Pitcher Jackson Soucie entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He made 14 appearances, including five starts, this past season.
Soucie went 3-1 with 32 strikeouts across 30 innings in 2025 – his first year at South Carolina. He arrived from Wabash Valley College (Ill.), where he helped the program finish second in the the NJCAA World Series.
One of Soucie’s best performances came in April against USC Upstate. He recorded a season-high five strikeouts while throwing 3.1 scoreless innings in the victory, and he had three strikeouts in five innings two weeks later in a win over North Florida.
