Report: South Carolina women's basketball star earns NIL deal after national championship win
After capping a standout season with a national championship on Sunday night, South Carolina women’s basketball star Aliyah Boston is being rewarded for the success she’s had and the brand she’s built.
According to a tweet by Front Office Sports, Boston has been offered a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal with Orangetheory Fitness, a nationwide chain of gyms that offer workouts and training. As reported by FOS, the NIL deal for Boston includes a trip to the Orangetheory headquarters in Florida, a lifetime membership, a chance to develop a class and VIP access for her teammates and coaches – making for a pretty sweet deal.
Boston played a significant role in South Carolina’s success this season, averaging 16.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game on 54.2% shooting from the field. She was big for the Gamecocks in Sunday’s 64-49 national championship win over UConn with 11 points and 16 rebounds – which earned her Most Outstanding Player honors.
Boston and South Carolina finished the 2021-22 season with an incredible 35-2 record.
