WATCH: South Carolina’s Keyshawn Bryant throws down monster jam

During the second half of a low-scoring matchup between Georgia and South Carolina, forward Keyshawn Bryant injected some life into the home crowd with a monster one-hand jam through the middle of the lane. The basket brought the Gamecocks within four points with just over 16 minutes remaining.
Down 46-40, head coach Frank Martin drew up an under-the-basket inbounds play for South Carolina. With a man on the baseline ready to throw the lob, Keyshawn Bryant went around a screen and cut back through the middle of the lane for a monster jam with his left hand.
Bryant is averaging 7.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in his senior season, playing for the 10-7 South Carolina team which has started 1-4 in conference play with the only win coming over Vanderbilt. With a run of games against teams in the bottom half of the SEC, the Gamecocks have an opportunity to kickstart their season before a difficult stretch in February.
South Carolina’s throwback jersey
The Gamecocks, led by Frank Martin, released a video on Twitter earlier this season to detail the reveal of the new alternative uniforms for the 2021-22 season.
“Y’all know that little hang out spot in front of the coach’s office?” a voice says. “We’ve got something for y’all in there.”

The South Carolina basketball team then starts walking toward Martin’s office in the video, only to see the new uniforms draped over the seats.
The throwback uniforms feature a garnet top and garnet bottom, with a simple white and black stripe going across the collar and a white stripe across the waist. Then, in all-caps, white block lettering, it shows a simple “South Carolina,” meant to pay homage to vintage uniforms. The shorts are a bit more complex; there are white triangles facing different directions on the leg, making almost an argyle pattern.
The video begins to tint into a more retro look, as South Carolina reveals the history behind the uniforms.
