“First of all, I thank God for blessing me and giving me the opportunity to play the sport I love at the highest level,” Spillman wrote. “Nothing would be possible without him. I also want to thank my family for being a constant support system. Thank you to Coach Dilfer, the Lipscomb coaching staff, and all my Lipscomb teammates for pushing me every day to be the best player I can be. Coach T Barr, thank you for your help with the recruitment process. I have made the decision to continue my academic and football career at the University of Tennessee!”
As a junior last season at Lipscomb, Nate Spillman caught 22 passes for 348 yards and five touchdowns. He is the Volunteers’ fourth commitment in the 2023 class, joining four-star tight end Ethan Davis, offensive lineman Ayden Bussell and safety Jack Luttrell. Tennessee currently ranks No. 12 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
