Appearing in 63 games where he boasted a .401 batting average along with 28 home runs (No. 1 in the country), 24 doubles, and 102 RBIs (No. 2 in the country). Also making some appearances on the mound as a left-handed picther for the Coyotes where he posted a 2-1 record and a 3.00 ERA in his six innings pitched.

This past year for Tennessee Villeneuve appeared in 35 games and made 24 starts for the Vols. Racking up 23 hits, 20 runs, 22 RBIs, and five home runs on a .288 batting average. Making his last plate appearance of the season in the SEC Tournament versus Mississippi State before Tennessee’s impressive NCAA Tournament run.

Villeneuve played high school baseball at Polyvante Nicolas-Gatineau in Gatineau, Quebec, where the 6-foot-1, 214-pound Canada native was ranked as the No. 42 overall prospect in Quebec and the No. 5 first basemen according to Perfect Game.

“For somebody that’s new to this area and English is actually their second language, he’s just been a remarkable kid in general in the locker room, in the dugout,” Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello said regarding Villeneuve in February.
