Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell declares for 2026 NFL Draft
Tennessee star receiver Chris Brazzell has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He will not play in the bowl game with the Volunteers after spending the last two years in Knoxville.
Brazzell initially arrived at Tennessee in 2024, transferring in after spending two years at Tulane. He was a breakout star for the Green Wave in 2023 as a second-year player after recording just one catch as a true freshman in 2022. That gave him the platform to move to a bigger school.
That second season? Brazzell busted out by catching 44 passes for 711 yards and five scores.
He went to Tennessee after the season, taking up a place in Josh Heupel‘s receiving corps. Chris Brazzell didn’t get off to an electric start in Knoxville, catching 29 passes for 333 yards and two scores as a third-year player in college. But he was poised for a major jump.
That big-time leap came in 2025, when quarterback transfer Joey Aguilar joined the Tennessee offense and began to open up the passing game a bit more. Brazzell found himself the beneficiary, tallying 62 catches for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns.
He was named to the first-team All-SEC squad following the season for his contributions. They were significant.
