Conroe (Texas) four-star cornerback Dorian Brew was originally scheduled to announce his college decision in January, but the elite prospect opted to push things back.

MichiganOhio StateOregonPenn State and Texas made up Brew’s top five schools, but a team out west is looking to jut in to the top of the race. USC offered the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder on Jan. 12 and quickly got him to campus for a Junior Day visit over the weekend.

Now, head coach Lincoln Riley and secondary coach Doug Belk have returned the favor, as the pair made their way to the Lone Star State to visit Brew on Wednesday:

Brew is the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 3 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Texas.

He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $113K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

It’s the Buckeyes that have the edge for Brew, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Six different recruiting insiders have logged picks in favor of Ohio State landing the four-star prospect.

“I love what Coach Walt is doing at OSU. My mom is in the HOF there, and they’re one of the schools how are constantly producing talent and developing,” Brew told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Jan. 10.

The Buckeyes currently have the No. 2 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Five top-100 recruits are pledged to OSU, headlined by five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez.

USC seeking top-notch 2025 recruiting class

The Trojans currently have just one commitment in their 2025 class — but it’s a big one. Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis has reclassified from the 2026 cycle — and while he’s still taking plenty of visits and working through his recruitment, he remains committed to USC.

Riley and his staff are working to land a slew of the top prospects in the cycle, however. The likes of Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest four-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola, McKinney (Texas) four-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn and Dallas Skyline four-star LB Elijah Barnes have all been visited by Riley over the past week.
