Defensive players continue to leave the USC Trojans football program. On Monday, linebacker Tackett Curtis added his name to the list, entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Shortly after the end of the college football regular season, USC found a suitable replacement for former defensive coordinator Alex Grinch right in Los Angeles, CA, poaching UCLA’s former defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn to fill the role. Unfortunately, that hire has done little to stop players from entering the transfer portal, as not only did Curtis enter on Monday, but so did former five-star recruit in the 2022 class, defensive back Domani Jackson.

Curtis played high school football at Many High in Many, LA, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 121 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
