Former Duke pledge, 3-star safety Savion Riley commits to Vanderbilt

Acworth (Ga.) Kennesaw Mountain three-star safety Savion Riley has committed to Vanderbilt, announcing the news Monday.
Riley is the No. 1146 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The Commodores have been on a little bit of a recruiting run, snagging four commits over the last week-plus. The previous three pledges are Canton (Ga.) Cherokee three-star quarterback AJ Swann, Baytown (Texas) Lee three-star wide receiver Trudell Berry and Richmond (Texas) George Ranch three-star safety Jeffrey Ugo.

Riley decommitted Sunday from Duke, announcing the news on social media. His decommitment left Duke with only 17 commits remaining in its 2022 recruiting class.
“After a discussion with my family I’ve decided to Decommit from Duke University,” Savion Riley tweeted. “I’m blessed for the opportunity everyone on the staff has seen in me. Thank you Blue Devils.”
