The 6-foot-7, 195-pound power forward from Bloomington (Ind.) North chose the Commodores over offers from Indiana, Marquette, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Butler, West Virginia, and a handful of others.
According to the On3 Consensus, Roberts ranks as the No. 180 overall prospect in the 2023 class. He’s also the No. 34 power forward and the No. 6 player in the state of Indiana.
Roberts becomes Vanderbilt’s second addition to the 2023 class, joining three-star combo guard Isaiah West.
Roberts talks commitment to Vanderbilt
“I chose Vanderbilt because of the relationships that were built and the connection that I felt,” Roberts said to On3. “My versatility fits really well with their playing style and how they see they can use me on the court. Coach Stackhouse playing in the NBA for 18 years, Coach Curry playing 15 years in the NBA, Coach Maz coaching in the NBA… being surrounded by coaches that know what it takes to get me to my ultimate goal and seeing those skills in me and believing in me is amazing! I love how they’re building the program and I wanted to be a part of it!”
