WATCH: Jerry Stackhouse loses it after drawing technical foul

Vanderbilt gave the Kentucky Wildcats an incredibly good fight on Wednesday night, losing 77-70. Both head coaches got heated at different points in this one. There were 44 total fouls called in the contest, with technical fouls being issued to both coaches. Kentucky head coach John Calipari was issued a technical foul in the first half. Vanderbilt head coach Jerry Stackhouse was issued a technical in the second half. The Commodore bench got heated about the last Kentucky bucket, saying it was basket interference.

While Stackhouse was upset at the call, he could at least be proud of Vanderbilt’s effort in battling a very tough Kentucky team that had just throttled Kansas recently.
Scotty Pippen, Jr. poured in 33 points on 11-of-23 shooting in the loss for the Commodores. He also stuffed the stat sheet with six rebounds and five assists.
Oscar Tshiebwe continues to dominate the glass
Kentucky center Oscar Tshiebwe once again dominated on the glass tonight against Vanderbilt, grabbing 17 rebounds in the win. He’s now averaging 15.2 rebounds per game. That’s on pace to be the most in Division I in the last 40 seasons, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Kentucky’s Davion Mintz also poured in 21 points for the Wildcats and Keion Brooks pumped in 20 points for UK.
Ball security issues plagued Vanderbilt in this one, as Kentucky’s defense forced them into 18 turnovers. Kentucky has now won 12 straight games over Vanderbilt and the ‘Dores head coach, Jerry Stackhouse, has yet to beat John Calipari.
Vanderbilt’s Jordan Wright posted a double-double
Other key contributors for Vanderbilt included Jordan Wright, who pumped in 14 points and corralled 10 rebounds for the double double. Wright nailed two of his three-point attempts. The Commodores also shot 43.8 percent from beyond the arc to hang around in this one. The ‘Dores also outrebounded Kentucky 34 to 29.
