Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy safety Bryce Grays committed to Washington State, announcing the news Wednesday on Twitter.

He is the 10th commitment in the Couagrs recruiting class, and the first commitment since Nick Rolovich was fired for not receiving the COVID vaccine.

Washington State is the No. 66 ranked class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

The class has zero four-star recruits according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Every recruit except Grays — who is an unranked prospect — is considered a three-star recruit.

He is the first defensive back recruit in the 2022 class for the Cougars.

Inglewood (Calif.) three-star linebacker Taariq Al-Uqdah and Goodyear (Ari.) Desert Edge three-star quarterback Adryan Lara are the top two recruits in the class.

Grays previously attended Richmond (Texas) George Ranch, where he was an all-district player.
