Diore Hubbard injury update: West Virginia running back leaves game against Colorado

West Virginia running back Diore Hubbard has been an impressive piece of the team’s offense over recent weeks. Ahead of the showdown with Colorado in Week 11, he was slated to be a factor in the result of the game.
Now, there’s a shroud of doubt casted over the Mountaineers running back. He left the game and went to the locker room with an injury during the first quarter against the Buffaloes.
“Hubbard didn’t appear to be putting a lot of pressure on that leg,” the broadcast noted. “He went immediately into the blue medical tent, where he was working with the head athletic trainer. He came out of the tent, did some sprints. He was then consulted and taken into the locker room.”
Later, the broadcast noted that Hubbard returned to the field, as he’s trying to get back in the game with a “lower extremity injury.” Whether or not he’s able to remain to be seen, but West Virginia would certainly benefit.

More on Colorado at West Virginia
Meanwhile, Colorado is shorthanded as well. They’re without starting left tackle Jordan Seaton due to injury. It is the first missed game of Seaton’s college career.
Both teams came into Saturday at 3-6, and they must win out to become bowl eligible. It’ll be a big loss for Colorado on Saturday, especially with freshman QB Julian Lewis getting the start. Seaton recently emerged as one of the nation’s top offensive linemen in terms of pass protection.
As a member of the Class of 2024, Seaton was a five-star-plus recruit out of Washington D.C. and played HS Football at IMG Academy (Fla.), according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He was the No. 5 overall prospect in the Sunshine State, the No. 1 OT in the class and the No. 18 overall prospect in the class.
