Benjamin Brahmer is the son of legendary Pierce head football coach Mark Brahmer. He is the first Division I football player to come out of Pierce since tight end Matt Herian in 2002. Both of Brahmer's older sisters were college volleyball players at Division II Wayne State. Brahmer's father played college football at Doane College. Brahmer was a first-team All-Selection both as a sophomore and junior.
