Personal Life
B.J. Baylor was a four-year starter at Wharton (Texas) High near the Gulf Coast in Texas. But even though he put up nearly 2,000 yards as a senior and was named district offensive MVP, Baylor was only a consensus three-star coming out of high school — the retroactive On3 Consensus lists Baylor as the No. 1678 player in the country. He did not play his first year at Oregon State and was redshirted. He played sporadically in 2018 before playing in every game his redshirt sophomore and junior seasons as a backup running back. Before his senior season, he had played in 28 games (one start) and rushed the ball 81 times. He is the son of Linda and Benjamin Baylor. He has a sister named Alexis. Baylor is majoring in public health. He hopes to be a college coach after his playing career ends.
