New York2020 Draft · Rnd 2 · Pick 36

Xavier McKinney was a highly instinctive safety who showed outstanding recognition skills and play speed while leading his high school team to deep playoff runs as a prospect in the 2017 cycle. Both McKinney and Mathews also played offense at times during their high school careers. McKinney played receiver for Roswell (Ga.) High, while Mathews saw time at quarterback and receiver at Ponchatoula (La.) High.
