Jahan Dotson grew up in East Orange, N.J., before moving to Nazareth, Penn., over a decade ago. Dotson was a star the moment he stepped on a high school football field for Nazareth (Penn.) Nazareth Area. He started as a freshman and sophomore before playing for Hightstown (N.J.) Peddie School as a junior. He returned to Nazareth Area for his senior season and was named a team captain. Despite missing his junior season, he still set schools records for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He earned a starting role as a freshman at Penn State, becoming the first true freshman to start at receiver in four years. He started all 13 games as a sophomore and was all-Big Ten third team as a junior. He is the son of Robin and Al Dotson. He has a brother named Al. Dotson is majoring in telecommunications at Penn State.
