Mandarin High coach Toby Bullock isn't afraid to heap praise on Jaime Ffrench. “As far as pure natural catcher, being able to control his body, manipulate his body for the catch, those type of things he’s the best I’ve ever seen,” Bullock said. Ffrench credits his coach for his development. He also says his brothers – who were receivers and defensive backs – for his development. One brother, Maurice Ffrench, set the single-season receptions record at Pitt in 2019. “They always stayed on me,” Ffrench said. “It’s always been like that all the way up. I grew up in it. There are a lot of great receivers out there, but definitely model my game as a Calvin Ridley.” Ffrench, who had 671 yards receiving and five touchdowns as a sophomore, also plays basketball and runs track.
