Lucas Simmons was born in Sweden and before arriving in the United States in 2021 he played for the Stockholm Mean Machines. In Sweden, he also played handball and soccer growing up before outgrowing both sports and falling in love with American football. That love was sparked by his father, Able Simmons, who played for the Oklahoma Sooners from 1996-1998. Before arriving at Clearwater Academy International, Simmons spent time with Premier Players International, a program that looks to bridge the gap between international American football players and college programs across the U.S. When he’s not playing football, Simmons enjoys reading, playing video games and cooking. His favorite food is very American -- wings. He plans on majoring in business or sports management.
