To help prepare for the next level, Mykel Williams takes college-level classes at Columbus State University while in high school. Corey Thompson, Williams’ coach at Hardaway, said the push to succeed academically comes from his parents John Johnson and Shemekia Williams. Along with the football accolades, his high school coach said Williams is just as proud about being a member of the A-B Honor Roll at Hardaway. Williams plans on majoring in athletic training in college. He lists playing Madden as his hobby, and he also wrestles for the high school team. Williams’ half-brother, Michael Trigg, is a tight end at USC. He has four other siblings - Miriya Jackson, Mikayla Johnson, Arianna Johnson and Shamari Lawson.
