Personal Life
Peter Skoronski wasn’t supposed to start at left tackle as a freshman for Northwestern. That role was slated to go to then-senior and future first-round pick Rashawn Slater. But when Slater opted out of the 2020 season, Skoronski took advantage, won the job and has never looked back. He matriculated out of Park Ridge (Illinois) Maine South, where he lettered three times in football, basketball and track and field. He earned all-state honors twice. Skoronski’s grandfather was former Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Bob Skoronski. Bob Skoronski won five NFL championships in the 1960s and helped Green Bay to the first two Super Bowls in history. He is in the Packers Hall of Fame.
