Sullivan was originally supposed to sit back and learn last season, but when a senior starter went down, he was thrust into action. He ended up starting seven games and posted modest numbers, throwing for 897 yards and seven touchdowns and rushing for another 107 yards while completing 57% of his passes. We expect all his numbers to jump this season, as he’s made a leap in his development. He’s a naturally big kid at around 6-foot-1, 230 pounds but has leaned out and looks noticeably quicker and is moving better in and out of the pocket. He already showed…
Top Attributes
*Football IQ, quick processor in the pocket *Accuracy as a thrower *Can change speeds *Throws with anticipation
Areas to Develop
*Quicker overall, in and out of the pocket *Tighten release *Get stronger and continue to build lean muscle.
Film Review Notes
Big, thick frame, especially in his lower half. Throwing motion is three-quarter sidearm and he drops even lower when he's throwing on the move. Easy delivery; doesn't try to over-throw but throws an easy, catchable ball. Shows good touch on the deeper throws, and his ball placement and accuracy on the outs and post corners stand out. A bit stationary in the pocket, not much of a run threat but good feel for pressure and can slide away. Will stand in and take a shot to complete a throw, shows toughness and poise under stress.
