Personal Life

Troy Fautanu is an admitted weight room warrior. In fact, he was mid-workout when he found out that he won the 2023 Morris Trophy – which honors the Pac-12's premier offensive and defensive lineman. "When the coaches aren’t at the facility, I'm not allowed to come in and work out," Fautanu told the Seattle Times. "I like to work out at night randomly when I get bored. I feel like when I’m sitting there watching too much TV I need to do something, so I drive over to 24 Hour Fitness and get some work in.” The extra work paid off during his time in Seattle. Fautanu finished his career as a third-team All-American, two-time first-team All-Pac-12 pick and anchor for the Huskies run to the College Football Playoff championship game. "You have to play O-line violently," Fautanu said. "I think that's just the mindset that I bring to the game. You don't get to go out in public and do the things that we do in the trenches. That's something I really take pride in."
