Aneesah Morrow's four-year contract figures with Connecticut Sun revealed after WNBA Draft

From Chicago to Baton Rouge and now all the way out to the Northeast. The basketball journey for Aneesah Morrow has been a long one. Monday was the most important day of them all, though, getting selected seventh overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun.
With the season not too far away, first priority for Morrow will be getting her contract signed. Luckily, the figures have already been determined by the WNBA. A four-year deal will be heading to Morrow for a total salary of $334,115.
Pay will increase over the time of her rookie contract. The 2025 season will see Morrow make just over $75,000 and the number will rise to $96,445 by 2028. All of these numbers are provided by Sportac, providing a breakdown of what each draft pick will make.
On the court, Morrow will be joining a team looking to finally break through and win a WNBA Championship. Eight straight postseason appearances, six of which have resulted in at least a semifinal appearance. Connecticut hopes Morrow can be the final missing piece to the equation.

This past season saw Morrow lead college basketball in rebounding, averaging 13.5 boards per game. Double-doubles were nearly automatic for her too, recording 30 throughout LSU’s 36 games played. WNBA teams will love her offensive efficiency, as she has shot a career-high 49% from the field.
“Morrow made just 24 3-pointers in her two years in Baton Rouge, but the 53 she knocked down as a sophomore at DePaul show they can be part of her repertoire at the pro level,” ESPN’s Michael Voepel said in the mock draft.
Three NCAA Tournament appearances are on the resume for Morrow. One with Depaul and playing in just one game. Dayton bounced them from the First Four as the Blue Demons never made it into the official field.
Once transferring to LSU, a little more success followed. Morrow was a key part in two teams that made runs to the Elite Eight. She was a major part in the 2024 edition, averaging 20.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in four games.
