Angel Reese has been cleared to play in Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Wings, the Chicago Sky announced. She was listed as questionable with a leg injury, but will be able to suit up.

Reese has not missed a game all season, but appeared on the injury report Wednesday. Sky head coach Tyler Marsh said she would be a game-time decision, but made it clear she’s not dealing with anything serious.

Reese is in the midst of an impressive second season in the WNBA after the Sky selected her No. 7 overall a year ago. Through 18 games, she’s averaging 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds, along with 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals. Those numbers helped send the former LSU star to her second All-Star Game, where she’ll play for Napheesa Collier’s team.

Since June 22, Reese is in the midst of an impressive stretch of games. She has six straight double-doubles entering Wednesday’s game, averaging 17.8 points and 17 rebounds during that stretch. Last year, she set a WNBA record with 15 consecutive double-doubles.

Amid the strong showing, Reese is also finding further success off the court. 2K Sports announced she will be on the cover of the WNBA edition of NBA 2K26, and it also marked the debut of her first signature shoe with Reebok. The Angel Reese 1s are feature a “Diamond Dust” colorway and also appear on the cover of the video game.

“Diamond Dust. Just a kid from Baltimore, turning dreams into reality and hoping I can inspire young women and men everywhere to do the same,” Reese wrote on X. “The most brilliant diamonds take pressure, polish, and time. Reebok is back — and the diamonds are shining brighter than ever.”

The Sky take a 5-13 record into Wednesday’s matchup against Paige Bueckers and the Wings, whom they’ve beaten twice. Chicago is coming off a loss to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday, which also saw Marsh call out the officiating after a controversial ending.

That came one game after Reese also had a message for the officials. She pointed out the battles down low and the lack of foul calls, making her frustration clear.

“It’s tough when you talk to officials, and I asked them, ‘Hey, we’ve only been to the free throw line twice up until the fourth quarter,’ and she tells me it’s not her job,” Reese said. “So, it’s frustrating because I know how hard we are battling inside, and I think that we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had, and I just know we continue to grow in this.

“I think this is a leaping step for us, and obviously we know we can compete with the best, but [the officiating] has to be fixed. And I don’t give a damn if I get fined because that shit is cheap. I’m tired of this shit. ‘Cause I’ve been nice, and I’ve been humble with it, but I am tired of this shit.”
