Angel Reese jokingly calls out Fever player after second sex toy throwing incident

Angel Reese jokingly called out Indiana Fever player Sydney Colson amid a second sex toy throwing incident during a WNBA game. Fever star Sophie Cunningham already mentioned to fans to stop throwing them on the court Friday night.
Thankfully, the object in question didn’t land nearly as close to the players on Friday as it did in the Golden State Valkyries-Atlanta Dream game on Tuesday. In that showdown, the phallic object landed in the middle of the action.
Indiana beat the Dallas Wings 88-78 to improve to 16-12 on the season, despite not having Caitlin Clark or Cunningham on the floor. But the story was another sex object being thrown onto the court and Reese had a bit of fun at Colson’s expense.
“(Hey Sydney Colson), why do you keep throwing your mean green in different arenas…. it’s getting weird,” Reese wrote on Twitter/X. Colson had a response, although she didn’t respond directly to Reese.
“Sorry I did NOT mean to throw that so far y’all,” Colson wrote. It’s all in good fun, but certainly strange to see it happen twice in a week.
Frankly the last thing the league needs is another sex toy incident during the game. You don’t want that to be the headline recap of some good games coming up. Perhaps not even Clark can shield from viral moments like that!
Understandably, the broadcast for the Valkyries-Dream game wasn’t sure how to handle the unusual incident. The camera operator zoomed in on the sex toy, causing the game’s commentators to have a shocked reaction.

“Oh my gosh, OK, inappropriate,” Morgan Ragan said. “Get ’em out of here, whoever it is.”
Police were reportedly dispatched within the stadium. However, it’s unclear if the person responsible for the unsightly moment was ever caught.
“I mean, first of all, it was super dangerous. And then when we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing,” Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini said with a smile after the game. “I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in, we stayed concentrated.”
Officials were more prepared for the situation on Friday evening, kicking the object off the court and having another employee remove it from view. Alas, the WNBA can’t afford for this scenario to become the norm.
