Angel Reese entered the history books on Monday evening with a WNBA lengend in attendance. On the night that Candace Parker had her jersey retired by the Chicago Sky, Reese notched her 20th double-double of the 2025 season against the Las Vegas Aces.

That gives Reese 46 double-doubles over the course of the first two years of her career. According to ESPN, that surpasses Tina Charles for the most by a player in their first two seasons.

Reese finished with 10 points and 17 rebounds in addition to four assists, three steals and a block. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to lift the Sky to victory as they still lost 79-74.

Reese has racked up double-doubles with ease early on in her WNBA career. Earlier this season, she also became the fastest player in league history to reach the 40 double-double mark.

On the season, Reese leads the WNBA with 12.2 rebounds per game in addition to scoring 14.5 points per contest. The next closest player to her is A’ja Wilson, who is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game.

Although Reese has been having a successful second season, the Sky’s record still remains among the worst in the WNBA at 9-28 and they have been eliminated from playoff contention. Their next game comes on Thursday against the Phoenix Mercury.

Reebok announces release date for Angel Reese 1 shoe

Reese agreed to an extension with Reebok recently, which included a signature shoe going back to last October. Now, nearly a year later, that shoe line has officially released the product.

Reebok announced the date for the release of the Angel Reese 1 earlier this month. The shoe dropped on August 18th.

Reese has partnered with Reebok since her college career in October of 2023, with its basketball division having Shaquille O’Neal, a former legend himself at LSU, as president. She has since had several products during her partnership with the brand over the past two years, including the announcement of this signature shoe coming at the time of her signing her extension during the fall of last year.

This is just the latest brand deal that Reese has profited from and continued to build her own name off of over the past few years. Her contracts have varied in their respective markets, with the most recent being a video game as she was named as the female cover athlete for NBA 2K26 in July.
