Fayetteville Regional weather delay: When Arkansas vs. Oklahoma State will restart

Sunday’s NCAA Softball Tournament Regional final between Arkansas and Oklahoma State has been delayed due to weather, the Razorbacks announced. Rain is coming down in Fayetteville and thunderstorms are forecasted for the next hour.
The game was initially scheduled for 3 p.m. CT but saw a delay of more than four hours. The Razorbacks later announced that the new time for the first pitch is 7:15 p.m. CT. Arkansas needs just one win to punch their ticket to Super Regionals, while the Cowgirls need to win this game to force another and win that one as well.
Ultimately, the rain cleared out around 6 p.m. CT. Arkansas shared an update on X in the middle of the delay the current cloud cover and that a tarp was over the field.
Arkansas and Oklahoma State have already met once during Regional play with the Razorbacks claiming a 6-5 lead in eight innings. A seventh-inning comeback forced extras as Arkansas rallied for three runs to bring things to a 5-5 tie. Courtney Day came through with the bases-loaded hit to complete the come-from-behind victory and send Arkansas to the regional final.
That in mind, it should be another exciting matchup as the Cowgirls fight to stave off elimination and force a second game. If that happens, it’s unclear exactly when the second matchup would start given the late start to the first game.

Arkansas run rules Oklahoma State to punch ticket to Super Regionals
Arkansas was ready to go from the moment the first pitch was thrown, cruising to a 12-0 run-rule victory in six innings. The Razorbacks defense allowed only three hits on the evening as Robyn Herron picked up the win at pitcher.
Arkansas jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back. It entered the sixth inning leading 6-0 before piling on another six runs, including a three-RBI homer from Karlie Davison. The defense then forced OSU to go three up, three down in the bottom of the inning to secure the win.
The Razorbacks move on to Super Regionals for the first tie since 2022 after going 3-0 in Regional play. They will get to host as they take on the winner between Arizona and Ole Miss with Super Regionals scheduled to begin May 22.
