Women's basketball watchlist: 11/25 edition

There’s nothing I love more than Feast Week. Let’s get into the best games of the day and where to watch them.

BE SEATED AT ALL COSTS

These are the games you’re going to want to skip work for – the ones that will tell us a whole lot about the best of the best.

2:30pm: MTSU vs. Mississippi State (Flo)

This is a fun one. Mississippi State is a brand new team and is largely a wildcard to me. MTSU is a really good benchmark opponent to see how good the Bulldogs are this season.

2:30pm: Oregon vs. Saint Mary’s (Flo)

Saint Mary’s was able to give Cal some trouble the other day. Let’s see where Oregon stands against a very solid mid-major on a neutral site.

5:30pm: Old Dominion vs. Texas Tech (Flo)

You may be sensing a theme here. These are all really solid mid-majors versus high-majors that have either exceeded expectations so far or are untested. This is another fun example of that.

7pm: Texas A&M vs. Colorado (BallerTV)

Texas A&M suffered their first loss of the year yesterday to UT Arlington. Let’s see if they can bounce back against Colorado.

THIS COULD BE COMPETITIVE/FUN

These matchups are more than just your run-of-the-mill easy blowouts. While some of them have the potential to be, these games are an opportunity to see good teams test themselves early.

1pm: Indiana at FGCU (ESPN+)

2:15pm: SMU vs. Saint Louis (BallerTV)

6pm: UMass at Holy Cross (ESPN+)

6:45pm: Drake vs. Arkansas (BallerTV)

8pm: Northern Colorado at Arizona (ESPN+)

8:30pm: Nebraska vs. Virginia (Flo)

A DECENT LOOK AND/OR AT OPTIMAL TIMES

These games will either be a solid look at a team or they just fall at optimal times. If you’re in need of basketball to watch all day (like me), these are games to add to your list. 

6pm: Kennesaw State at South Alabama (ESPN+)

6pm: FDU at NJIT (ESPN+)

6:30pm: Villanova at La Salle (ESPN+)

9:30pm: UT Arlington vs. VCU (BallerTV)

WATCH YOUR TEAM WIN A BLOWOUT

The rest of the games here will likely provide no true competitive value – but you never know. These games are just a look at some P5’s playing teams they should beat with ease. 

8:30pm: Utah Tech at ASU (ESPN+)

9pm: Southern at Washington (Big Ten+)

10pm: Tennessee Tech at USC (Big Ten+)
