Bear River

Bear River High School, located in Garland, Utah, has established one of the strongest athletic traditions in northern Utah. Known as the Bears, the school competes in the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) and has achieved sustained success across football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and cross country. Bear River is particularly renowned for wrestling, one of the most successful programs in Utah history, producing numerous team state championships, individual state champions, and nationally recognized athletes. The Bears have also enjoyed significant success in football, girls soccer, and cross country, regularly competing for region and state titles. Supported by strong community involvement, excellent facilities, and a culture emphasizing discipline, toughness, and hard work, Bear River consistently ranks among Utah’s top athletic programs.
