Appleton East High School, located in Appleton, Wisconsin, has been a prominent athletic program in the Fox Valley since opening in 1967. Known as the Patriots, Appleton East competes in the Fox Valley Association (FVA), one of Wisconsin's most competitive conferences, and is a member of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). The school fields teams in football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, swimming, tennis, cross country, and track and field. Appleton East has achieved notable success in baseball, basketball, soccer, and track and field, producing numerous conference champions, state qualifiers, and collegiate athletes. The Patriots are particularly known for their strong baseball tradition and competitive boys basketball program, both of which have enjoyed success at the conference and state levels. Supported by a large student body, quality facilities, and strong community involvement, Appleton East continues to be a respected competitor throughout the Fox Valley region.
